My name is Moritz Döring, and I was born in Hamburg, Germany. That’s where I also live and where I’m studying: After having successfully finished my Bachelor journalism program at Macromedia University in Hamburg, I am looking to expand my education with a Master’s this winter semester.

My prior history with journalism has already given me valuable, practical experience: Even before my studies, I have been working for the entertainment website film.tv for more than 5 years, where I write news articles about movies, series, streaming services, television, celebrities and much more to this day. Writing and publishing, editing videos, conducting interviews and regularly working with a Content-Management-System (CMS) has given me important skills that I put to use in the world of online journalism.

Branching out my knowledge and talents, I am also writing German articles on topics such as health and medicine for a joint medical practice in Germany on hausaerzte-schwarzenbek.de, and I’m publishing blog posts about my travel experiences here on MoreMoritz.com aswell. I’m fascinated by other cultures and always appreciate making new experiences abroad — For example, as part of a semester abroad for Fall 2022, I spent it in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, Canada.

Nowadays, in times of misinformation and manipulation, the world needs interesting, high-quality journalism more than ever. That’s why paying attention to good writing, covering a unique mix of topics, and continuing to refine my skills are among my top goals to keep this journalistic journey going. Join me!
